Beware of their shipping methods - SURE POST/SMART POST - Shoes

Bean is now or has been shipping their merchandise via UPS Sure Post. Which means they ship via UPS to your local post office then you have to relie on your USPS carrier to deliver your package. This does not always happen. CS at Bean does not provide you with a USPS tracking #. Only one for UPS, you spend over 30 minutes on the phone being transferred around to be told that it is the post offices problem and YOURS. After pressing the matter they will give you a tracking # for USPS but again, they tell you that it is up to you, the customer to find your package. Horrible horrible service. Yes LL Bean does offer to send out another product but one has to wonder "who is stealing packages ". It's someone at the post office. Bean files insurance claim so they don't lose a thing. It the customers that will absorb costs through higher prices because of this. Just who at the post office is ever held accountable. Bean does tell you, but not on their web page, you can place order via phone & request direct delivery to your home bypassing the USPS. Why do they not out this on their web site. To save money ?????
